SERIES The one unifying feature of my work in glass to date is my great fascination with using the raw material of glass 'stringers' and 'rods', and textures I can create using them.   SEAFORM Series This series is made from 1 mm strands of glass. I form each strand individually by hand. (There are approximately 3000 strands in each piece.)   NEST Series These sculptures are made from organic materials (rose canes, wood, etc.) which I cast in bronze, weld together, and then add a “nest” consisting of 1 mm strands of glass kilnformed onto the bronze platform.   LES ILLUSION Series I start with 1 mm strands of glass, shape each strand individually, then fuse them to the surface of dichroic glass. The pattern of the individual strands and their relationship to each other creates a resulting “illusion” of depth and movement.   FABRIC Series This series is composed of 1 mm strands of glass. (There are anywhere from1800 to 3700 strands in one piece depending on the number of layers used.) SERIES 5 New Series are under development and production.
