SEAFORM Series This series is made from 1 mm strands of glass. I form each strand individually by hand. (There are approximately 3000 strands in each piece.) This is a very time consuming process! I then build the piece on a flat kiln shelf in a round shape, 1 1/2” high by 18” in diameter, making sure the strands are layered at different angles so the piece is very strong when fused. The glass strands are heated in a kiln just until they fuse together, but not too long, or the piece will lose its wonderful texture.
